This is a long, extensive interview with Ambassador Jack Matlock who was our envoy to Moscow in the late 1980s and early 90s.

The issue of NATO expansion is discussed in detail on pages 14-15. Clinton's decision to launch expansion is explained as an electoral ploy in the run-up to the 1996 election.

Current relations between the U.S. and Russia are addressed succinctly on pages 30-32.
